The recording & mixing of the new CD "GL 4tet" is done, thanks to the musicians and Christian Heck our sound engineer, we're working right now on the mastering and the art-work, i'm looking forward !

i will give you some more infos about the release very soon, there's also a new Label who's interested by signing us so i keep you posted.

 

Also the project  "Greg Lamy & Paulo Simoes" Jazz Guitar Duo with Marc Demuth (bass) is doing fine,

last year we played a lot around europe, we're working on a new repertoire and probably end of 2013 we will record a new cd,

check out our new reviews about our CD gl 4tet "I see you" and the Duo.

Ganz ohne Worte kommen dagegen Greg Lamy & Paulo Simoes aus auf

« Jazz Guitar Duo » (www.greglamy.com). Der Jazzgitarrist aus New Orleans,

seit mehr als zehn Jahren in Luxembourg ansässig und auf europäischen

Bühnen umtriebig, gilt als stilvoller Archtop-Player, dessen Sound einerseits

von de « guitars greats » wie Wes Montgomery und Joe Pass inspiriert ist, der

aber auch die Moderne wie Pat Metheny, Mike Stern und George Benson

durchscheinen lässt. Stilvolle und von hoher Spielkultur geprägte

Instrumentals, die aus dem ‘Great American Songbook, stammen könnten

und in äussert entspannter Grundstimmung vorgetragen werden, machen

diese CD zum Hörgenuss ; Eigenkompositionen wechseln sich ab mit Cover-

Versionen von Philip Catherine, Jim Hall und Stevie Wonders. Begleitet von

Bassist Marc Demuth, wechselt sich Lamy dabei im Zusammenspiel mit

seinem portugiesischen Kollegen Paulo Simoes ab, beide werfen sich

hervorragende Vorlagen für immer wieder schöne Einlagen über komplex

geschichteten Akkordfolgen zu. Grossartig.
